The story of Alternative Container begins with an incredibly humble start. In 1999, Charles Jenson leased an empty overseas shipping container in Chicago and ventured into the world of manufacturing. Success did not happen overnight but due to hard work and years of dedication, Alternative Container has exceeded all expectations and has grown exponentially. We are thrilled to say, after 20 years of service, Alternative Container has expanded to a 55,000 square foot building with 15 employees. We are extremely proud of our new facility located in Indianapolis, Indiana.

A strong work ethic and commitment to excellence was ingrained in Chuck from a very young age. It was very important to him that our children were brought up with these same values. Our son Mitch has been working alongside Chuck for the past several summers with intentions of a full-time position after his graduation from Indiana University. Amelia, our daughter, has taken an interest in the marketing aspect of the business and will incorporate that in her studies next year at the University of Kentucky. With the next generation coming aboard, our family business will continue to evolve but we will always stay true to our roots of hard work and commitment to excellence with you in mind.
